It was an exceptional year. In 2020 we celebrated our 25th anniversary and, like many others, we had to step up our efforts to continue supporting all our chain partners. In this section of the report, we’d like to tell you all about the organisation behind ARN and we also take a peek at two of our partners.

At ARN, everything revolves around the responsible and high-quality recycling of cars. As an implementing organisation, we facilitate the recycling chain: from the collection of dismantled cars up to and including the gainful reuse of recovered materials.

25 YEARS OF ARN IN PICTURES

A silver jubilee

ARN celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2020, but the festive nature of the year was overshadowed by the corona crisis. Nevertheless, despite everything we were still able to realise a recycling performance of 98.3 per cent. Together with our 300 partners, we have made a resounding success of the year. Which is something we intend to keep on doing.

Wirdum-based Japoto has been an ARN chain partner since 1993, while Haayer in Coevorden joined us in 2020. How did these companies set the appropriate course in times of (corona) crisis?

Sound foundation for car recycling

During what in many ways was a challenging 2020, an excellent recycling performance of 98.3 per cent was realised by the recycling chain. In 2020 the recycling fee was €35 and as of 1 January 2021 it has been set at €30.
